About us

How we work with you

Our clients tell us that it's how we work with them that makes the difference and delivers lasting value. We see it as our responsibility to get beneath the surface and find the business need behind the immediate challenge.

To understand what's really going on, analysis is vital, but must be combined with experience and judgement. Human behaviour and the unofficial issues can be the toughest stuff; we're willing to push through this and offer challenge where it's needed to keep things moving.

The other side of the story is finding and amplifying what is working well. What drives high performance in your particular business? Knowing this allows us to go with the grain to focus the energy and get it flowing in the right direction.

That means working closely for an exact fit with your business, making sure you get the most out of your existing resource.  Our work is completely transparent, standing alongside you to constantly listen and transfer skills into your business.

Our story

Formed in 1998 by three founding partners, today we are now a core team of 14 highly experienced organisation consultants with backgrounds in strategy, change, strategic communication, leadership and organisation development, plus a support team and a wider network of associates. We also work in close collaboration with several partner organisations who provide complementary consulting services to our own areas of expertise.

In 2006 we established an external Advisory Panel to guide us on our growth journey and to help ensure our core proposition matches current and future client needs. Members of the Panel are: Jill Ader (Managing Partner of Egon Zehnder, London), Alistair Cox (Chief Executive of Xansa plc) and Liann Eden (joint Managing Director of strategy consultancy Eden McCallum).

In 2007 we became a partnership (LLP) and now have shared ownership between nine partner consultants.
